War Record Information and Request for Pension Information of Samuel Rankin Richardson 1

Samuel Rankin Richardson enrolled at Marian (Herrins Prairie) Williamson County, State of Illinois, as a Private, August 15, 1862 with Company "C" of the 9th Regiment of Illinois Volunteers in the war of the rebellion.  He was honorably discharged at Springfield, Illinois, July 19, 1865.

A pension of $6.00 began on August 15, 1881; and increased to $8.00 on July 17, 1889.

He served as a Private of Company "D", 128th Regiment Illinois Volunteers.  He enrolled September 26, 1862 at Camp Butler, Illinois.  He was transferred to Company "H", 9th Illinois Volunteers in September and October of 1863.
